The Oxnard Whole Foods Market is now open ~ located at 650 Town Center Drive (in The Collection shopping center). Not only is it an incredibly beautiful store, it is well laid out and offers products from more than 100 local vendors!
First, the building itself! As I walked in I was incredibly impressed by the size and design of the space. It was clear they spent a lot of time thinking about making the design fit the community - agriculture and beach community! There were beautiful patterns and colors, I loved the bright orange and blues in the main sign -Reminded me of the ocean...
Enough about the building, though, the best part of the new store? Bar Rincon. Yep, a bar in the store - pouring local beer and wine, of course. It is innovatively designed and seats 50 - with wi-fi! I hear there are daily happy hours too :)

- The largest produce section I've ever seen - local fruit, high ceilings, beautiful!
- Amazing selection of bulk goods and a spot to make your own nut buttters
- Full in-store bakery. It smelled so yummy! We got some gluten-free brownies...
- Juice and coffee bar: Fresh squeezed juices and freshly brewed coffee
- Huge selection of organic and sulfite-free wines, starting at only $2.49 a bottle
- I LOVED the Nutritional Supplement section too! They have great deals...
- The Staff - everyone was so helpful, friendly and nice - especially sweet to my little guy ;)
If you haven't stopped by yet, you should definitely go! On June 26th (this Wednesday), The Whole Foods Market Oxnard store will donate five percent of the day’s net sales to the House Farm Workers! The donation will help provide more safe and affordable housing for hundreds of farm workers and their families. The organization’s philosophy is that neighborhoods are improved when substandard, overcrowded housing is replaced by well-designed, properly maintained homes that provide adequate parking and dedicated play areas.

I wish I had a Whole Foods closer to me, I LOVE their ready made meals and salad bar. A great place to go for lunch!

ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky, we need one near us! I won a Whole Foods gift card a few years ago and I won't trade it in because I figure as soon as I do one will open up here.

ReplyDeleteWe don't have any Whole Foods in London, Ontario. This sounds like such a great spot and it seems to be well loved. Actually Whole Foods: Are you Listening? I think London, Ontario needs one of your stores. I am pretty certain our market would love the concept. This is a lovely layout.
