New App to Protect Against Bullying and Abuse

Did you know...

• Every day, 160,000 students skip school because they are afraid they will be bullied.
• Every two minutes, somewhere in America, someone is sexually assaulted.
• One woman is beaten by her husband or partner every 15 seconds in the United States.
• There is an average of 207,754 victims (age 12 or older) of sexual assault each year.

These numbers NEED to change. 

Now there is an app that can make a difference. It's called ICE BlackBox. Beyond the app’s functionality, it is spreading awareness about the serious problem of bullying and abuse in our world today. 

To get the app, head on over to the app store from your smartphone (or your child’s smartphone). Search for ICE Blackbox. The app is $4.99. Once downloaded, first set up your Ice contacts. You can select friends and family to receive ICE messages.

If you are in the middle of a dangerous situation, use the 911 button to make a call. All ICE contacts are notified via SMS or email. You can then hit the record button, and the ICE BlackBox app will start recording the events immediately. These videos are automatically sent to the ICE cloud, where they can be viewed by your ICE contacts. These cannot be deleted - you have a witness.
