One of his crazy ideas is that one day we should stay in a hotel made of ice. Yes, ice. Cold, wet, frozen ice.
I am not exactly sure why this idea seems like a good idea to anyone, but apparently there are multiple ice hotels out there. Canada, of course, houses some of these strange places. Close enough that I may not have an excuse not to go...
Apparently, these hotels are so popular that Quebec now boast two of them. People pay rates of nearly $400 to stay in a room. Granted there is a fireplace in some rooms, so maybe there is more warmth than I think? But I really do feel that staying in a lodging made of ice is something I'd do out of desperation, not out of fun. I'd love to see it, love to go to a resturant or bar made of ice...but to sleep, no thank you!
Ok, maybe it looks pretty cool...
Would you go? Please explain the allure :)
I wouldn't mind seeing these places just because they are so different but staying in one, I don't think so. I don't like being cold.
ReplyDeleteI would be thrilled to go visit - but no way do I want to stay in one. I grew up in a desert, cold is not my thing ;)
