I've really been enjoying all the fun summer activities. We've been trying to take advantage of all the great (mostly free) summer fun, but this weekend was different. We took a step back, and relaxed.
It was fun too. We enjoyed an amazing sunset hike, looked at the stars, breathed deeply, smiled.
I also made great strides on my week "0" of training! I did all my training runs but didn't make all my strength workouts. This week is the official week 1 and I'm excited :) here is my schedule for the week! I'm writing it down so you'll keep me honest!
Monday: Cardio Workout
Tuesday: 30 minute Interval Run & Lower Body
Wednesday: Cardio
Thursday: 35 minute Tempo Run
Friday: Upper Body
Saturday: Rest!
Sunday: 5 mile Run
Enjoy your Monday!
It's so exciting to start a new training cycle!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with Fitness Friday!
I love starting a new racing plan! And strength training (and stretching, for that matter) are always so hard for me to fit in!
ReplyDeleteI think that looks like a solid week of training!
ReplyDeleteI like that you take Saturday off… that would be great but having the extra time that the weekend days allow necessitates that I train on them.
The days of strictly pure relaxation seem to be fewer and fewer lately.. but when I have them I sure do enjoy them!
