One of the things I love is that I can go hiking year round, and in many ways winter and early spring are the beautiful seasons for hiking (if a little muddy). Just recently we went on a beautiful hike to Paradise Falls in Wildwood Park, Thousand Oaks. We may have gotten a little lost...but overall it was a wonderful way to spend a few hours. I would suggest finding a good trail map, since signage was not always readily available...

That is so beautiful. I haven't been hiking in years. I really need to start doing it with my kids so they can get outside and enjoy all the little things nature has to provide.

ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I know what you mean. When you live some where you always appreciate what others have but then you get great reminders of how great it is to live where you do. I don't like snow but I can't imagine living any where that I can't have at least some flurries once a year.
