Traveling and hiking is so much fun with the little guy :) |
1. Blogging - this is my newest hobby! I've really enjoyed "meeting" so many amazing people. I enjoying having some time to write at the end of the day. I enjoy sharing, writing and all the great stories out there.
2. Photography - I have had fun taking photos of A as a baby. Now that he is a little older, it's harder to capture him sitting still, but it also gives me time to take notice of the other things around. I've really enjoyed finding others who dabble in photography through blogging - and finding those that inspire me!
3. Reading - Little guy goes to bed at 7 pm, which means I have some time to read at night again. Though most books recently have been about parenting or blogging :)
4. Travel - We had an amazing vacation this year in the Canadian Rockies. Glad to have an international trip again! Also, we've had fun exploring California. A is actually pretty good at traveling, and we are also lucky enough to have my parents nearby so we can travel a little on our own!
5. Hiking/Running - Well, running, not so much lately, but hiking - always. We went last Friday and saw a beautiful waterfall! Since I'm a park ranger, it's just part of who I am. Luckily I live in a place where I can hike year round!
What are your hobbies? Any new things I should be taking up? :) This week I'm linking up over at Growing Up Geeky to talk about Hobbies.
Hi Meghan! Great pictures on here. I have an "A" (Andrew... who we call Drew) also born in January. He was born Jan 12th, 2011 so we have month twinsies! Anyway, love the blog. :)
ReplyDeleteBorn 5 days apart :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteIs there anything better than curling up with a good book in a quiet house at the end of the night? Add your beverage of choice and some music and you have my perfect evening in.
ReplyDeleteNothing better at all! We even have a fire place that I should use once the little guy goes to bed :)
DeleteI've 'met' a lot of great people through blogging too! You take beautiful pictures - I wish I had more time to do this also!
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you!
DeleteTravel is a hobby that I didn't even think of...with the two munchkins it's way too hard to think about vacationing, lol. I am super jealous of your little one's 7pm bedtime. We have all sorts of bedtime battles; if I got to start my "free time" that early I would be in heaven! :)
ReplyDeleteI do feel lucky...lots of evening time...but I get an early AM in return :)
DeleteI love reading your adventures! What fun!
ReplyDeleteMy son is 18 now. We have traveled with him his entire life. He has been to many National Parks. He would like to visit many more this summer. He has a real love of history and geography. For years, he thought he would like to work for the National Parks. I don't know what he will end up doing. He will be going to college in fall. Absolutely loved your blog. Went back through several posts. I am now a follower. I found you through Harvest of Friends Blog Post. Glad I came by, my son loves your blog, too!
