A New School

One of the most stressful parts about moving has been finding childcare. Mr. A was in an amazing school. He adored his teachers, he had friends he always talked about, he was happy, smiling, learning.

It's hard to start over in a new place. Not knowing anyone, not having lots of time to figure things out, not knowing anything. Yet it is so important to get it right. They spend so much time in childcare - you want them to strive, be happy, be smiling at the end of the day.

We started at a school last month - and it just wasn't awesome. It was fine, ok, a place to go. So we starting looking again. We found a new school. A started this week. He was so very excited.

The best part? He was still excited at the end of the day. He didn't want to leave.

He loves his classroom, loves the cars, loves that he has to go upstairs to the big kid room. The place is bright and colorful and full of toys and books. The teachers are happy, and smiling and nice. I finally feel good about bringing him to school again.

Now in 11 short weeks, I'm going to have to bring little brother there too - let's hope I can keep the positivity up...

Hope everyone had a good first day at school too!
