Week 2 of my Organizing Challenge! (only 50 left...)
The first week was pretty much taking stock. I'm sure you are dying to know my results.
1. My relationship with time. My family was not known for being on time when I was growing up. This made me fairly strict about being on time when I had control over the situation. I eased up a bit when living in Central America...and now am routinely 5 minutes late to things. Still trying to find a balance!
2. My positive life goals. My overarching goals are to be happy, healthy, to enjoy life and to be able to take care of my family. Smaller goals are to enjoy time with my husband, son, dog, to live by the ocean, to be successful at my job, travel, send A to college, a clean and homey home.
3. Where does my time go?
- Work
- Loving my husband
- Cleaning, Laundry, Cooking
- Watching/Hanging out with Alex
- Blogging
- Reading
- Watching the Olympics (or other exciting TV)
- Fun - hiking, the beach, walks, classes with Alex
- Exercise, running,
4. Where do I want more of my time to go?
- More time to enjoy family
- Travel
- Gardening
- Photography
- Family & Friends
Week two?
1. Invest in a calendar - a good one. Either electronically or virtual
2. When to say no
3. Bring order to the thoughts in your mind
4. Start routines that will save you time and energy!
Any suggestions? Wish me luck! Thanks for keeping me accountable :)
