If you come visit us, chances are we will take you to Custom Melt. It has quickly become our favorite local place to eat. It has tasty melts and local beer - what could be better?
We took advantage of Restaurant Week to enjoy lunch there this weekend. I meant to take awesome photos - but when the food came, I had to dig in right away. So I can only share a photo of half my sandwich - which was incredibly yummy.
Every meal starts with homemade chips and an awesome cheese sauce. The sandwiches are tasty (I mean, melted cheese, how could they not be?) - my favorite is Brie, turkey, pesto and more goodness. Today - with the special - we got to taste the bread pudding for the first time. Chocolate Chip bread pudding...a big hit :)
I love the ambiance, the people that work there are friendly and helpful, the food is good, the price is good, it's local and serves local beer :) What more can you ask for in your local go-to restaurant?

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great family place. The food looks really good - of course I am really hungry too. We will be heading west soon not sure if we will make it that far though.

ReplyDeleteUmm a restaurant that specializes in grilled cheese? SIGN ME UP. I've never been to Moorpark, but I base my travel experiences around my food experiences, so if I'm ever in the area, this will definitely be on my list. Thanks for sharing!
