We didn't go on any big trips, it wasn't full of lots of firsts or even big memorable moments. It was a summer full of little moments that made my heart warm and made me smile. I am sad to see it go.
The best parts of the summer...

Woohoo! Loving Summer! |
1. Day trips to the beach - whales, dolphins, sand castles, boogie boarding, and adorable cousins!
2. Saturday mornings building cars, trucks and planes - We discovered that both Lowe's and Home Depot have free workshops where you can make toys. A was unsure the first time, but now loves it!
3. A's first movie in the theater - He saw both Turbo and Planes. He was mesmerized by turbo (he loves snails and race-cars). I couldn't believe he sat through the whole thing!

4. The local summer reading program at the library - A loved going to the library each weekend! He got prizes for reading, but his favorite part was getting his hand stamped :)
5. Sports of all Sorts - The little guy took his first sports class. He was so cute playing basketball, soccer and baseball. I can't wait to see what the future holds...
6. Going to the Farm and Berry Picking - we picked strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and enjoyed the animals of the local farm! Sad that berry season is over :(
7. Summer themed weeks at school - I loved that each week had a theme. The Teddy bear picnic and face painting days were the favorites!
8. Time with the Grandparents - duck ponds, carnivals, water fountains, movies, hugs and smiles!
9. Finding Running - I ran my first 10K and am now training for a half marathon. I am really enjoying running again! I have also found some great running blogs to keep me motivated!
10. Lots of quality time with my husband. I will have many memories of sitting on our swing in the yard enjoying some summer drinks, enjoying walks on the beach, sunset walks in the neighborhood, the Color Run together, tacos on the pier, and him building a birdhouse with the little guy...I have an awesome husband!
Did you make some magical memories this summer? Are you sad to see it go? Good-bye summer!
