On Wednesday my 45 min. run included at least 15 minutes of walking.
I could not get out of bed to run this morning - so am writing about it instead :) I will have to fit in my 45 minute run at lunch.
I am not sure if it is just a down week? Or if 10k should be my limit. Maybe I'm just not cut out for longer runs? At this point I want to keep going, but if I have this little motivation with 12 weeks left, I'm not sure how I will make it through! If only I had the boundless energy of my son...
I'm looking forward to some more fun this weekend...including the fun of a 6 mile run...wish me luck...
aww, it happens sometimes!! It's always good to follow a plan but sometimes you just adjust and the next week is a different story. Good luck to you!! Found you through the running bloggers link up!
ReplyDeleteIt happens. We've all been there. Listen to your body and take a few guilt-free days off. Not getting enough sleep can be a big drain on training. Hope the little guy feels better soon and you can get some sleep.
ReplyDeleteDon't sweat it, sometimes you just need a break. However, I will say that downloading new music does make me want to run so I can listen to it!
ReplyDeleteI hope your 6 mile run went well, and that your little guy is feeling better!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to meet you, thanks for linking up last week! Hope to see you tomorrow!

You still have plenty of time, 12 weeks! You can do it. Did you get your 6 in this weekend?
ReplyDeleteI sometimes think we just need a complete break for a few days before trying to get back in the swing of things- maybe that's what you need right now? Hope your 6 miler went well though and your boy is feeling better soon :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need a break. I bet you will come back refreshed and energized for this week!
ReplyDeleteHope everyone's feeling better and I hope you had a great run this weekend! :0)
ReplyDeleteOh...I am so sorry....don't give up on it yet, everyone has those weeks (at least I know I do)! The fact that you aren't sleeping well probably adds to it...but even if you are sleeping well, sometimes these weeks just happen!!!
ReplyDeleteTry not to stress about it...maybe give yourself the liberty to take a break...take an extra day off or add some walks into your running....that zeal will come back :)!!!
Don't worry about it a bit. Motivation really does come and go in ebbs and
ReplyDeleteflows. Even the top experience low motivation. Sleep probably has a lot to
do with it. Maybe try a new course or park to make it more interesting.
You will get it back and 12 weeks is plenty of time!
