Canadian Smiles & Snuggles!

Hi! My name is Victoria and I'm so excited to be guest posting for Meghan here at Crazy Casa K! I blog mostly about my family and crafts over at Smiles 'n' Snuggles. Today, I've been asked to post about living in Canada!

My family and I live in the great province of Ontario! We live in what's called the GTA or the Greater Toronto Area, which just means the suburban area outside of Toronto.

I can't say I've lived in many different places in order to compare to living here in Ontario (only Arizona, which is night and day to Canada) but I can't really think of living anywhere else.

There are many great things about living outside the urban area. First, we get all the benefits of living near the major city. Toronto has tons of teams, which for sports fanatics like myself and my husband is a dream come true! We have soccer, hockey, baseball, basketball and football! We can take the train into the city or drive and park. It takes about 30 minutes and we're right in the heart of urban living.

Another perk of living outside the city is the beautiful landscape to the north and west of us. Getting in the car and driving for 15-30 minutes takes you to conservation areas, orchards and fruit farms, skiing in the winter or beaches and lake in the summer.

There are numerous provincial and national parks in Ontario where we plan on camping and visiting in the future, but I admit it is tough with a toddler and one on the way.

Oh and I'm sure you've heard somewhere but we really are friendly people, eh!
