Meal Planning for a Busy Family

Long ago, in another life, I loved cooking. I liked trying new recipes and had lots of time to try. I could walk to Whole Foods, meander the aisles, taste some wines...but I digress. Since having a baby, I just can't seem to find the time between working and being a mom. But as A gets older and eats real food, it is becoming more and more important that my family eats healthier. This is where my plan for the new year comes in! Meal Planning - here's to hoping it makes life easier. I have armed myself with many new tools...

In addition to the favorite cookbooks on my shelf (The Joy of Cooking, How to Cook Everything and about 10 more), I am trying out the following 2 new cookbooks:

The first explains how to plan menus, with recipes for each day of the year. The second uses vegetable purees (which we already make around here) to add some nutrition to already easy recipes.

I'm also going to lean on some great mommy blogs with meal planning tips:
Tasty Thursdays at The How to Mommy,
Meal Planning Mondays at Finding Hope and
My Happy House.

Any other suggestions are always appreciated!
