Normally when I hear the word Chia - I think of pets. I never actually had one, but must have seen the commercials enough to even get their jingle stuck in my head. This Christmas my parents got me a Chia Herb garden, which I planted as a start to my healthy eating new year. I planted chives, parsley and cilantro (yum!). It was really pretty easy...they supplied the terra cotta pots, potting soil and seeds.
I filled up the pots with spongy soil, filled it with water, threw the seeds on top and covered with saran wrap (for a green house effect). They recommend starting them somewhere warm, like on top of the fridge. Now I will wait and see how long before they grow - assuming I didn't screw it up :)
