Waikiki Aquarium = Enthralled Baby

We had a wonderful time in Hawaii - have I mentioned that? Pools, beaches, rainbows, luaus....

One day we pulled ourselves away from the resort and even got on a bus. It was only a few short minutes we were transported from one end of Waikiki to the other. Not nearly as complicated as I had feared, and only $2.50 a person (with 3 hrs. to transfer for free). Just grab the bus outside the hotel, take it to the end of the main part of Waikiki and then walk about a quarter mile!

I have been wanting to take A to an aquarium for awhile, and he loved the Waikiki aquarium. He was enthralled - even if a bit tired :) The colorful fish we a big hit. It was a fairly small aquarium, with a reasonable entrance price of $9 each (A was free). Make sure to look in the coupon books - we got $2 off :)

He got to see the state fish of Hawaii - the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. It also has a beautiful green lawn for A to practice his walking and pointing - and we learned the difference between a monk seal and sea lions.

I think there might be another aquarium in our future!

Afterwards we enjoyed a beautiful sunset! I miss Hawaiian sunsets...
