These are the things that got us through.
Dora the explorer book - I brought this on accident. He grabbed it as we were heading out the door and I let him hold on it, then I stuffed it in the diaper bag. This kept him occupied for at least an hour. It is a puppet in a soft book. The puppet waved at him, the puppet kissed him, he kissed the puppet, he tried to eat the puppet. The puppet was awesome, and attached to a book (even though he liked the little snowman book better). Dora the puppet is the A's new best friend.
Cars (B. Wheeee-is) - thanks to my wonderful husband for spending an undetermined amount of time running the car up and down and right and left and up and down and all around.
Cheerios. Yep. One at a time. It takes a long time for a 9 month old to eat cheerios one at a time. This is not only important for plane rides...but also for dinners when you are trying to enjoy Hawaiian sunsets...
Give me another Cheerio! |
...and enjoyed ourselves.
