However, the more kid's parties I go to, the more afraid I become.
The first party we went to included a trampoline as part of the festivities. It kept the bigger kids busy, and wasn't too big...I took notes...you know, just in case.

The second party we went to had a bouncy castle. Very large, basketball hoop inside...something like this. It took up half the backyard.
So, now I wonder...what do I have to do if A's party is next? Do I have to fill my entire yard with a bouncy house? Get a magician to do magic tricks in the bouncy house? Keeping up with the neighbors might not be for me :)
Maybe I'll stick to my plans to keep it simple (...or maybe I'll ask the neighbor to borrow the trampoline?)
I completely understand how you feel. we rented a shelter at a local park for Bruce's 1st birthday. The park gave the kids of all ages plenty to do and it kept costs down for us. Plus we didn't have to clean the house. ;-) Win win!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of keeping it simple. Do what you do best ...your own thing!
