Keeping a happy house

Sometimes keeping a happy house means knowing when to give up.

I still think I can do it all, work full time, be a wonderful wife and mother, cook, clean...you know, everything.

This weekend, while the whole family was sick, it became clear that we needed help. That while I can work and pay appropriate attention to the human members of the household (poor Moose). That the cleaning aspect has been lagging. My wonderful husband has been doing the lion's share of the cooking and picking up, but the real deep cleaning, well, we've been trying.

So we gave in. We decided to hire someone to come clean. And clean they did. Four women came yesterday and moved like whirlwind through the house. Cleaning, scrubbing, vacuuming and basically doing what I haven't had the time (or will) to do in way too long.

So I am thankful to that we were able to afford this. I am thankful that I don't have to scrub the house this weekend and I am grateful that my house will remain happy :)
