I have yet to attend the local Adventure Run! I really, really want to. I even signed up this month. Unfortunately it coincided with my first day back at work after being off for 3 weeks, so it wasn't happening. I need a little something to spice up my running :)
You get an hour to run to as many check points as you can. There are raffle tickets at each point. At the end they raffle of lots of prizes! Sounds motivational to me :) I will sign up for November, hopefully nothing will mess that up! Anyone done one of these runs, are they fun??
Speaking of fun running - since vacation I have been a bit off in my running - so I'm reaffirming right now that I am going to be serious about running this week!
Friday: Two mile run and an upper body workout
Saturday: Tooth Fairy 5k
Sunday: 7 mile run
Monday: Lower Body workout
Tuesday: 4 mile run
Wednesday: Upper body workout
Thursday: 6 mile run
22 miles in the next week - that'll be a record for me! Wish me luck :)
Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThe Adventure Run sounds like a lot of fun. That's one I haven't heard of yet. Good luck with your 22 miles!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a pretty solid week of training to me! Looking forward to hearing how things progress over the upcoming weeks.
ReplyDeleteI have never done an adventure run but it does sound like a fun alternative to a traditional race.
I am not really inclined to some of the new types of races that are seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately (Zombie and Color Races etc.).
Nothing at all wrong with them of course, but they just don’t really peak my interest for whatever reason… but an adventure race does sound fun!
I am looking forward to reading about your November race.
