In a world of overwhelmingly negative news, I enjoy reading something positive at least once a week.
This week their newsletter reminded me to think of others when making resolutions. Resolution12.org suggests turning your annual motivation outward and resolving to improve the lives of others. Founded in November 2010 as Resolution '11, the site facilitates public declarations to care for others, and incorporates social media to help participants stick with their promise.
Another inspiring blog is 52times52 - where an anonymous couple decided to donate $52 each week of 2011. I don't think I am up for that kind of challenge, but it is a good reminder that to give more...a little can go a long way.
Since I want to make sure that A is generous and thoughtful when he grows up, I want to make sure that we incorporate giving to others in our daily lives, in whatever ways that we can...
